In general, this standard was developed to be in line with ISO9001. Therefore, all requirements shall be consistent and maintained. In additional, the organization should look on supplemental clause and the organization is responsible to provide conformity to standard and applicable statutory/regulatory requirement.
Following is an additional requirement to be addressed.
This standard has further emphasized on applicable statutory & regulatory. e.g in Malaysia, Petroleum Act should be deeper addressed.Quality Manual should address requirement of O&G Technical Specification instead of common requirement as in ISO 9001 standard.
Replacing enforcement of ‘should’ or ‘where necessary’ or ‘where applicable’ statement to be SHALL or compulsory implementation, including....
- Quality Policy shall be approved by top management.
- Documented method called as control feature that require to establish procedure/instruction for processes of training, incoming material, review product requirement, design planning (if applicable), purchasing, process control, identification/traceability, customer property, product preservation, calibration, performance monitoring and data analysis.
- Internal audit and management shall be conducted by annual basis.
- Supplier control to be strengthened thru determining inspection method at supplier place and before delivery.
- Supplier also shall be audited and verify the QMS implementation.
- Purchasing information shall be documented.
- Product validation (if applicable), shall focus as minimum for non-destructive examination, welding and heat treating.
- Organization shall perform OQC inspection and to be part of quality plan.
